Free Flow - Actor Studio

Photobucket - Video and Image HostingPresented by The Actors Studio.

FREE FLOW OF IDEAS, TALENT, FUN& PERHAPS INSPIRATION.

Tired of listening to lame and over-used jokes? Are your friends and family having trouble appreciating your brand of humor? Here’s your chance to show off your talent!

The Actors Studio @ BSC in conjunction with (insert sponsors or related party) is organizing 4 nights of fun, laughter, experience, opportunities and you’ll just have to come to see what else… We are giving up our stage to you! Instead of you coming to watch our plays, we would like to watch you! Free Flow is an open mic concept for comedy whereby people can come and show off their talent for a minimal donation fee of RM10. If you’re too shy than you can just come for laughs.

Comedy and humor is a subjective matter because there are many types of humor so its ok if people might not get the punch line or find it to be lame (unless it’s a “why did the chicken cross the road…”) We hope to encourage youths who are keen on the performing arts to come and experiment their mettle and find a brand of humor that suits them.

Free Flow will also be presenting The Comeback Kings, a group of young and talented award winning comedians who will be performing for every night plus they will share the troubles they encountered just to make you laugh.

featuring guest like Harith Iskander, Jit Murad, Joanne Kam, Douglas Lim, Alan and Indi.

Anyone who is interested in signing up to perform on stage, can contact publicity@theactorsstudio.com.my or 2094 0400.

That's rite. I joined this Free Flow, stand up comic last night. 1 word to describe how i felt was "FUCK!!!" OMFG. I can't believe that i really did it. When i registered for it, i was thinking how fun it would be on stage to try to make people laugh. Then when i was there, i was a bit scared but still confident.

But when i was already on stage.... it was pretty fucked up. After a few jokes and only having a few chuckles from the audience, i was ready to die. But after a few more jokes the audiance was bursting with laughter. That's when i was more confident.

When i came down, Shar said that I was so nervous when I was on stage. She could hear that my voice was trembling and i was very scared. Who wouldn't? It's easy to act on stage, or sing on stage. But a stand up comic is no joke. It's making people laugh that makes me feel like i wanna crap in my pants.

But overall, it was one on the most exciting experiences that i have ever had.
